The context of holism (unity) has
been around as long as we have.
It is written in all the holy books, spoken by all the wise
masters, and found within each of us. We are CONNECTED,
and a part, of the whole of existence. We are as much a
part of it as the biggest of stars, the tallest of trees
and the most delicate of butterflies. We are all made of
the same 'stuff' floating in the same vastness of space
as everything else.
The word holistc is the sum of this
philosophy.
For instance, here are a few definitions
of Holistic from varied sources from religious to scientific.
- Holistic: relating to
or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather
than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection
into parts :: holistic medicine attempts to treat both
the mind and the body> —ho·lis·ti·cal·ly
/-
- Holistic: no dimension
of culture can be understood in isolation, cultures are
integrated wholes.
- Holistic: Considering
the whole system rather than just concentrating on individual
components. From a medical standpoint - dealing with the
patient as a whole human being-physical, mental, emotional,
spiritual.
- Holistic:A theory that
the universe and especially living nature is correctly
seen in terms of interacting wholes (as of living organisms)
that are more than the mere sum of elementary particles.
- Holism (from holon, a
Greek word meaning entity) is the idea that the properties
of a system cannot be determined or explained by the sum
of its components alone.
- Holistic: The tendency
in nature to form wholes that are greater than the sum
of the parts through creative evolution.
No matter what angle we look at it from, we are one. Interconnected.
Inseperable. It is therefore in our own best interests to
support ourselves in all areas of our evolution. Holistically. At Holistic Hosting we know that a personal service, along
